Red Hat Starts with Individual Exam Sessions. A Revolution?

by Mirek Burnejko

Red Hat Individual Exam SessionA few weeks ago Red Hat introduced a new idea – the Individual Exam Sessions. Red Hat is well-known from the lab-based exams. For sure, that gives a lot of power to all Red Hat certifications like RHCSA or RHCE.

The main drawback of the system was the reservation process. It depended on availability of a lab and an onsite proctor.

Individual exam sessions, alternatives to the traditional classroom environment, are now available through personal testing stations with cameras and remote proctors. The stations allow you more choices in taking and scheduling Red Hat’s exams.

It’s exactly the same exam that you would be taking in a classroom environment, but the new model gives you more flexibility.

The system is available only in few places in USA, but Red Hat plans to extend it to other countries. We would love to know your opinion. Is it a future?
